What is Prosthetics?
Prosthetics in dentistry—often referred to as prosthodontics—is the branch focused on designing, creating, and fitting artificial replacements for missing or damaged teeth and surrounding oral structures. These replacements can include crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant-supported restorations. The goal is to restore function, comfort, and aesthetics, allowing patients to chew, speak, and smile with confidence. Dental prosthetics also help maintain proper bite alignment and prevent shifting of remaining teeth.
