What is Implantology?
Implantology is a branch of dentistry focused on the replacement of missing teeth using dental implants—artificial tooth roots, typically made of biocompatible materials like titanium, that are surgically placed into the jawbone. Once integrated with the bone (a process called osseointegration), these implants can support crowns, bridges, or dentures, restoring both function and appearance. Implantology combines surgical precision with restorative dentistry to improve chewing ability, speech, and aesthetics, while also helping maintain bone structure and oral health.
